I bought the nylon version of this bag and it lasted over 5 years and a few dozen washes. I bought the leather bag expecting it to be of higher quality; I was very disappointed! I carried the same load on the same chair. On a daily basis I carried catheters, a plastic urinal, a few pill bottles and my wallet. The leather seems durable but the straps totally unravelled and the weight of the bag adversely affected the leather binding so much that eventually it just ripped. I only used this bag for maybe 8 months.

I purchased the Sportaid Leather Backpack a while ago now, and have been using it every day for work. I am very happy with it, it has lots of room, and is very sophisticated. The only issue I have had is stitching around the straps coming loose because I overloaded it a lot more than I should have! Easy fix to sew up though

I received my Sportaid Leather Wheelchair Backpack today and I am very pleased with it. The backpack easily fits my MacBook Air in its leather case with plenty of room for the power pack and the portable CD/DVD if I need to carry it. There is also room for business cards, my company brochures and even a portable Catheter. All in a very classy, business like carrying case.
I am glad that I ordered one.

I've used the leather edition of this bag for about 5 years. The design is good. I have the same problem others have mentioned. The straps want to break loose if much weight is placed on them. I don't think I overload it, primarily carrying a lightweight cath bag, wallet, keys, pens, phone, writing tab, check books. I will probably buy another, but wish the company would upgrade and reinforce the straps that hold the bag on the chair.

Disadvantages: Weak Straps.

I liked this backpack so much that when I wore out my first one, I bought another one. Been using it for years now.

Advantages: Fits nice hooked behind my wheelchair back. Lots of pockets, sturdy construction for the most part. the design works great for what I need.

Disadvantages: Strap connection to the body is the weak point. The stiches will eventually tear away, and/or the zipper wears out. But mine have given me years of service before that happens.
