These rims are great when they're new, but the rubber surface separates far too easily, and isn't replaceable. I think it was in the past, as evidenced by some older reviews, but not anymore. They just don't hold up.
I'm basically confined to my house, so I put VERY few miles on them, and they didn't last 2 years. I've talked to people who are more active who say they'll last 6 months to a year for them. I guess they must have somebody paying for them because I can't afford to buy handrims that often.
I hope they redesign them to hold up better. If they do, I'd buy another set in a heartbeat.
I think the issue for me is that they tear off the rim easily if you put any side force on them. If you have them, be careful to push them front and back, and not knock the rubber side to side when your hand contacts the rim.
