My stationary roller works out really well - I've used it to put both my Force G, XLT and now my RX. I got one for my sister worked out so well.

Advantages: It works and allows me to work out.

Disadvantages: I'm not sure what the best tension should be - but it allows me to get miles in when it's cold outside. It's heavy so not really transportable.
