EPIC 3-Spoke ultra light aluminum wheels feature a custom made billet 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum hub that is machine lathed for perfect balance. The highly resilient solid urethane tread will not go flat and is designed to minimize energy loss and absorb vibration. Arched tread design ensures the contact surface is spherical to improve pivot ability. The extra width better distributes downward pressure allowing the wheel to maintain higher flotation and does not sink into carpet, gravel, etc. Designed for those who want the ultimate smooth ride.

Nice product. They do soften up the ride. My only dislike were the bearings. They don't seem to roll as freely as Quickie's bearings, they seized up in less than a year. I mainly roll on paved roads, no dirt, sand.

Advantages: been using the 5' inch for 10 years, got these to have front end lower on my wheelchair. just like the 5' inch. and great in black.

I really like them. 90% of the time I am on hard surfaces and you can see that I ride only on the middle part of the tire so they act like 1" or smaller on hard surfaces. When I go over carpet, grass, etc. they definitely "float" better than just my 1" wide casters. I don't know much about bearings.

Advantages: Wide selection of products and great customer service.

Disadvantages: Shipping can be a little longer than I would like sometimes.
